Zwicker, Freiman and Drulis Prepare for November after Strong Primary Showing
Hillsborough, NJ – Last night, voters decisively selected Senator Andrew Zwicker, Assemblyman Roy Freiman, and Assembly Candidate Mitchelle Drulis as the Democratic candidates for the 16th Legislative District.
“I am proud of the work we have done to fight for Central Jersey families by providing property tax rebates, restoring critical school funding, and protecting a woman’s right to choose. We have assembled a strong team with diverse areas of focus that include science, business, and constituent services that suit the specific needs of this district,” said Senator Andrew Zwicker (D-South Brunswick). “These results are just the beginning. We are not letting up for one second in our fight to better the lives of all New Jerseyans.”
“Yesterday’s strong showing in the 2023 Primary made it clear: the voters of LD16 have confidence in us to continue serving them in Trenton. We are going to keep up the momentum to November and beyond, because there is so much more work to do for all of New Jersey,” said Assemblyman Roy Freiman (D-Hillsborough).
“As a first time candidate, I am humbled by the support and trust that the LD16 Democratic primary voters have placed in me to to be part of this incredible ticket. I have appreciated the conversations with voters from Princeton to High Bridge about the investments needed for small businesses and families to continue to succeed in this district. I am excited to join the team and work alongside Senator Andrew Zwicker and Assemblyman Roy Freiman to win in November and to continue advocating for LD16 residents,” said Assembly Candidate Mitchelle Drulis (D-Raritan Twp).
