As protectors for healthcare access for women, Zwicker, Freiman and Drulis have received the endorsement of Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey.
Hillsborough, NJ — On Wednesday evening, Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey released its endorsement for the 2023 general election. They endorsed the entire 16th District Democratic ticket, including Senator Andrew Zwicker, Assemblyman Roy Freiman, and Assembly Candidate Mitchelle Drulis.
“Planned Parenthood has always been on the frontline of protecting a woman’s right to choose, and I am incredibly grateful to earn their support” said Senator Andrew Zwicker. “After Dobbs, it became even more important that elected leaders be fierce advocates for reproductive freedom. When re-elected this November, I will continue working to ensure that New Jersey sets the national example for what it means to protect abortion and reproductive care for our families.”
“Protecting access to reproductive healthcare also means protecting its funding. After Governor Christie cut millions of dollars for Planned Parenthood of New Jersey, I fought to put money back into their services,” said Assemblyman Roy Freiman. “I am honored to have Planned Parenthood’s endorsement, and I will continue fighting for access to affordable reproductive healthcare.”
“We need state legislators who not only support reproductive freedom, but who are also unafraid to speak up when it matters most,” said Assembly Candidate Mitchelle Drulis. “I am grateful to Planned Parenthood Action Fund for their endorsement of my campaign, and I am eager and ready to get to work to make sure New Jerseyans can make their own family planning choices, that health care decisions are made by a patient and their doctor, and that those decisions continue to be protected in New Jersey.”
