MONTGOMERY, NJ— At Thursday’s Montgomery Township Committee meeting, Senator Andrew Zwicker and Assemblyman Roy Freiman announced that they secured $4,482,000 to be used for infrastructure spending and upgrading technology used by first responders, a sum that they fought for as part of the recently passed state budget.

$3,000,000 is to be used to construct sidewalks and bike lanes, plant trees, and make necessary road improvements along Orchard Road to complete the connection between all of the public schools and the new County library and municipal complex. Another $1,482,000 will be used to upgrade radios and other equipment used by Montgomery EMS, and Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Company Number One and Two
